Byron "Barney" Frazier, 74, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Barney was born in Pottawatomie County, Kansas, the son of Elvin and Dorothy Frazier.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He held many responsibilities in his many years of membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was a member of the High Priest Group, and was actively involved in family history. He worked 12 years for Empire Gas of Hartford City, IN. He recently retired from Open Door Service, Muncie, IN.

He is mourned by many loved ones, including his wife of 39 years, Barbara Frazier; five sons, David Frazier (Tamme), Robert Frazier (Linda), Joseph Frazier (Bonnie), Jeffrey Frazier (Fay), and Timothy Frazier (Gia); one daughter, Debra; brothers, Lawrence Frazier (Dorothy),John "Buzzy" Frazier (Mary); sisters, Betty Jewel (Steve), Judy Carter, and Susan Bunch. His life was filled with the love and joy of his precious 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by is parents; brother, Darrel; and sister, Lois Appleby.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Muncie. President of the Muncie Indiana Bishop Stake, President P. Thomas Burdett, will preside and Bishop Jeffrey D. Hiatt will conduct the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Garden View Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
