Bonnie Jewel Martin Lerding, 93, of Louisville, joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 17, 2003. She passed away in the loving comfort of her home. "She was truly God's angel on earth." She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Lerding; a sister; a brother; and her only grandson, Eric Lerding, whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her son, Eddie; daughters, Sherry Kennedy and Susan Lerding; a daughter-in-law, Sue Lerding; a son-in-law, Jay Kennedy; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Geneva Jackson; and a brother, Orville Martin. Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Family Owned Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. She will be buried beside her husband in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and noon-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
