Thomas Tong, age 65 years, died on Friday, February 2, from the effects of a second stroke of paralysis and was buried in the East Dayton cemetery on Sunday, the funeral being conducted by Reverend Bacon.
Mr. Tong was born in England, but came to America with his parents when very young and settled in Ohio, afterwards, removing to Canada, where he married his wife who survives him.
He also leaves a large family of married children. He came to Michigan in 1884, and settled on the farm where he died. He lived a very straightforward, consistent life, was very genial and sociable life, and always interested in the general welfare of his neighbors, and will be very much missed by them.
The day he died was the 35th anniversary of his marriage.
