A. Elizabeth Boyer High, 89, of St. Thomas, Pa. and formerly of Chambersburg, Pa., died Monday, April 14, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Jan. 29, 1908, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Clara J. Stewart Wenger.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Boyer, on Feb. 16, 1934. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Clarence G. High, on Oct. 9, 1971.
She was employed as a seamstress by the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, retiring in 1988. She also had been employed by the former Interwoven Co., Chambersburg, and the former Hanson Hosiery Mill, Chambersburg.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Isabelle J. Scott of St. Thomas; two sons, Charles E. Boyer of Lakewood, Colo., and Harold A. Boyer of Chambersburg; one stepdaughter, Francis Eyer of Chambersburg; three sisters, Alice Eberly of Chambersburg, Cora Forrester of Shippensburg, Pa., and Janet Rosenberry of Orrstown, Pa.; two brothers, Arthur W. Wenger of Newville, Pa., and Richard J. Wenger of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild and six step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Service was April 19, 1997 at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
