Edward Morton "Pete" Barr, a 75 year old Rhodelia resident, died suddenly Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg. Born February 5, 1926 in the Frymire community of Meade Co., Mr. Barr was the son of the late James Morton Barr and Lora Keys. He was a retired carpenter, a farmer and A U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wilson Barr; three sons, Mike Barr, Rhodelia, Gary W. Barr, Lexington, and James Stanley Barr, Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Norma Trujillo, Louisville and Katsy McFarland, Portsmouth, OH; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral was held at 11a.m. Monday, April 16, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with the Rev. Terry Settles officiating. Burial was in Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg.
