Hettie Love Douglas Wine Garnett, 92, was a lifelong resident of Thomasville and the daughter of Nathan Clark Douglas and Hettie Love Crovat, having been born May 23, 1920. After graduating from Thomasville High School, she finished her schooling with a degree in nursing at Emory University. She met her first husband, Mervin B. Wine, MD at Emory, was married then set up home making in Thomasville. She was a devoted member of St. Thomas Church of Thomasville.
She is survived by her second husband Richard W Garnett, MD and her daughters Margaret, Elizabeth and Susan. Hettie Love also had four grandchildren; Lt Colonel Samuel, Margaret, William and Lynne. Five great grandchildren survive.
