Janice A. Wieck, of St. Libory, NE., died Friday, March 29, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE.
Janice was born on Jan. 18, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Herman Albert and Lois M. (Pickrel) Klein.
Janice is survived by: husband, Danny Wieck of St. Libory, NE.; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Naputi of Winter Park, FL., Wendy and Russell Cook of Pottsboro, TX. and Jennifer and Derek Ippensen of Shickley, NE.; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Steph Wieck of St. Libory, NE.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lila and Leroy Studley of Wolbach, NE. and Linda and Sal Mercurio of Post Falls, ID.; grandchildren, Jessica Naputi and fiance' Martin Lerch, Courtney Naputi, Brianna Taylor, Preston Cook, Kelsey Cook, Sophie Ippensen and Stella Ippensen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordie and Pat Wieck of Chapman, NE., LeRoy Seim of Grand Island, NE., Jeanie Glause of Palmer, NE., Larry and Myrna Glause of St. Libory, NE., Naomi and Bob Rouse of Tucson, AZ., Andy and Janette Glause of St. Libory, NE. and Paul and Marie Glause of St. Libory, NE. and a host of relatives and friends.
As a young girl she moved with her family to Wolbach, NE. where she grew up and attended Wolbach (NE.) Public Schools.
Janice was united in marriage to Gene N. Glause on Feb. 20, 1962, at Central City, NE. To this union three daughters, Tina, Wendy and Jennifer, were born. The couple lived and farmed in the St. Libory, NE. area. Gene died on Feb. 9, 1976.
Janice was united in marriage to Danny D. Wieck on Aug. 26, 1978, at Worms, NE. To this union a son, Justin was born. The couple lived north of Worms, NE. their entire married life. Over the years she worked at various places including, Younkers, Tri-City Signs and Bryan Jensen Clothing.
Janice was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Worms, NE. and the Evening LWML. She was also a member of the St. Paul Cancer Support Group.
Janice loved reading, playing cards, Hallmark movies and cooking, of which her family loved her chicken noodle soup. She also dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending whatever they were involved in.
Janice was preceded in death by: husband, Gene Glause; parents, Herman and Lois Klein; in-laws, William and Stella Glause and Oscar and Marie Wieck; sister-in-law, Verona Seim and brother-in-law, Loy Glause.
Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Worms, NE.
