When Martha Magdelena Cable was born on November 27, 1783, in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, her father, John Martin, was 33 and her mother, Mary Christina Warner Ripley, was 31. She was married three times. She married Christopher Herrold August 8, 1797 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania and had nine children John, Elizabeth, Jacob, Barbara, Joseph, Nancy E, Amanda, Mary Augusta "Polly", William. She married Captain Silas Bingham on November 23, 1823 in Athens County, Ohio and had one child Hiram. She married John Jackson January 15, 1846 in Athens County, Ohio. She died on June 16, 1867, in Athens, Ohio, having lived a long life of 83 years.

Gravesite Details

W. E. Peters indicated that there wasn't a marker for this grave when he read the cemetery (in 1941), but he knew the grave was in the southeast corner of the cemetery. A new marker was placed in June 2022 by descendants.
