Good Woman Gone -
Mrs. Etta Estella Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Talent and wife of Mr. L. W. Lee, was born in Knox County, Tennessee, August 6, 1874. When she was less than one year old her parents came to Oregon and settled at Talent, where she was reared to womanhood. In her sixteenth year she was converted and united with the Baptist church of Talent. In August, 1897, she was married to L. W. Lee of Talent. After her marriage until her death which occurred July 23, 1906, she lived on a farm near Talent. She leaves one child, Bessie Evelyn, not quite two years old, husband, father, mother, and three brothers, John, Oscar and Charles, four sisters, Mrs. Hendrickson, Mrs. Oatman, Mrs. Bean and Mrs. Beeson, many other relatives and a host of sorrowing friends to mourn her loss. In life and death Mrs. Lee there is a tribute to the worth and dignity of the Christian's faith. Like the Apostle Paul who said it, "For her to live is Christ, to die is gain."
