Eugene William Ferguson, 74, of Bloomington, died at 3 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 21, 1997) at Heritage Manor, Normal.
He was born Nov. 28, 1922 in Normal. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Herbert Ferguson Jr. He married Alice Hoover Sept. 8, 1946 in Bloomington. She survives. He is also survived by his mother, Elma Sackett; two sons, Scott Ferguson and Gary Ferguson; four grandsons and seven step-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II in the South Pacific aboard the USS Sweetbrar.
