Marcella Mae Post, 80, of Lone Rock died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Richland Hospital. She was born April 4, 1930, in Muscoda the youngest of three children of James and Pearl Rosenau. In 1948 Marcie married Douglas Post, shortly after that the couple moved to Lone Rock where she lived the rest of her life. Marcie and Douglas raised 9 children together before Douglas preceded her in death in 1978.
Marcie is survived by her children, Ernest Post of Muscoda, James Post of Lone Rock, Michael Post of Richland Center, Nancy (John) Betts of Avoca, Marilyn (Richard) Jensen of Lone Rock, LuAnn (Carl) Custer of Lone Rock, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends.
Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children, Donna, Rodney, Carolyn, grandson Jeremy Post, sister Helen, and brother Ken.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Lone Rock Congregational Church with Reverend Craig Peach officiating. Burial will follow in the Avoca Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lone Rock Congregational Church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 10:00 AM. The Godager Pratt Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
