Mrs. Holland died at her residence Friday at 6:30 AM following a long illness. A native of Tolberton, GA, she had been a resident of Attalla the past 41 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was past worthy matron of Noccalula Chapter 136 OES, past appointed grand officer of grand chapter of Alabama, past president of Attalla City School PTA and a member of Attalla WCTU.
She is survived by her husband, William Sim Holland, Sr.; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Overstreet, Attalla; three sons, W.S. Holland, Jr., Walter M. Holland and James P. Holland, all of Attalla; three grandchildren and a brother, Walter B. Trice, Holly Hill, FL.
Active pallbearers were Bert Jones, John Lambert, Russell Malone, Johnny Glass, Tracy Brothers and Fitzhugh Brothers.
