William Webb selected the location for the Webb Cemetery on the Webb farm. Apparently he had a disagreement with the church and did not want to be buried there. So some land on the Webb farm was donated and William was the first one buried there. Later his grandson, Harrison H. Webb owned the farm and deeded the burial plot for a graveyard. The cemetery is about 4 miles east of Madisonville. He names a daughter, Huldah Webb in his will "who is an idiot." Therefore he left more of the estate to her than his other children, so she would be cared for.
