Charles Lepley, of Somerset, Pa., R.D., who was ailing from cancer for several
weeks died, Thursday, Jan. 9, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Lape, where he had been making his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1869, son of the late Adam C. Lepley. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Kattie (Herwig) Lepley and two children.
He is survived by the following children: Adam C. Lepley, Berlin, R.D. 4;
William Lepley and Mrs. Daniel Lubeut, Baltimore, and Mrs. Harvey Lape,
Somerset; also by one brother, Herman G. Lepley, St. Paul, and six sisters; Mrs.
Lucinda Poorbaugh, California; Mrs. Clarissa Yutzy, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Jared
Walker, Meyersdale, R.D. 2; Mrs. Etta Spangler, Meyersdale; Mrs. Lloyd A. Hay,
Meyersdale R.D. 1; Mrs. R. S. Nicholson, Meyersdale R.D. 3, and one half
brother, John L. Miller, Meyersdale.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Paul's (Ridge)
Reformed Church, Rev. F. D. Witmer, pastor of the church, officiating.
Interment in St. Paul's (Ridge) cemetery under direction of Johnson & Son
