Aaron S. Hoagland, 78 years old, a civil war veteran, died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock at his home in East Columbus, of a complication of diseases of which he had been ill for some time.
Mr. Hoagland had resided in East Columbus for a number of years and was well known. He serve through most of the civil war in Company H, 144th regiment of Indiana Infantry.

Grammer; Mrs. Nora Harper, Scottsburg, and one step-son, Ed Floyd [Flohr] of Terre Haute. He also leaves twenty-eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the home, 112 Cleveland street, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H.E. Wilson of the First Baptist church. Burial in Garland Brook cemetery.
