Connie Lou Staton Lowder, 62 of rural Franklin died suddenly Tuesday afternoon June 20, 2000 in Waverly. She was born on January 30, 1938 in Waverly the daughter of Irvin and Marie Brown Staton. She married H. Wayne Lowder on January 30, 1960 in Jacksonville and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Mark (wife Robin) Lowder of Waverly and Michael Lowder of Springfield; two brothers: Irvin (wife Marilyn) Staton of Northglen, Colorado; Charles William "Bill" (wife Kathy) Staton of Dotham, Alabama; one sister: Betty (husband Ed) Beal of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Donald Eugene Staton, brothers, Robert, Ray and Leonard and two sisters: Mary Van Dyne and Verda Mae Lowder.
Mrs. Lowder was a homemaker.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2000 at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly where the family will meet friends on Thursday, June 22, 2000 from 5 to 8 p.m.. Memorials are suggested to the Waverly East Cemetery or Waverly Rescue Squad.
