Claus Jasper Berens, native of Glenn county died early Sunday morning in
a local hospital. Born August 10, 1883 in Artois, Berens had resided here
for three months, over two of which were spent in the hospital. He was
a retired ranch worker. Berens is survived by one brother, Emil Berens
of Los Molinos, a niece Diane Winegarden and a nephew Clifford Berens both
of Red Bluff. Funeral services are pending at Hoyt's Chapel
