Mrs. Pennock was a native of Jackson County, where she was born June 27, 1885, the daughter of Jesse and Rebecca Findley Cole. She was married in Seymour to Alvin W. Pennock, who died May 12, 1941. She spent all her life in Jackson Co. until June 1947, when she moved to Indianapolis to live with her son.
She is survived by one son, George A. Pennock, of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Sandra Kay Pennock, a brother, Ralph Cole and a sister, Mrs. Edward F. Wolter of Seymour.
Aug. 19, 1948. Burial at Whites chapel Cemetery.
