Herbert Bryan (Jerry) Geralds was the sixth child of Parthenia Fitxgreald and James F. Geralds.
Son, brother, husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
His vocation and avocation was photographer. He was one of the best. Got his first camera when 12 in 1911. It was a box camera and his first pictures were of his Mother working in her vegetable garden.
At twenty was a schoolteacher, principle and superintendent of very small school, but couldn't deny photography.
Took pictures of the ordinary and the celebrity, including the death picture of old man McCoy of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s in the 1920's up in the hills where it all began.
Worked as a photographer from Kentucky to Virginia, to New York, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and finally settling in Texas in 1940.
Moved to Dallas in 1943 where he lived until his death. Worked until 75 when retired to work on research books for crossword puzzle enthusiast.
Served in the Army
1920-1919.
Was a member of the Lion's Club.
Enjoyed bowing on Lion's club League.
His wife Martha of 48 years preceded him in 1985.
Is survived by daughter Anne, stepson John Pope and his wife Angela and their daughter Jan and granddaughter Hilary.
He is greatly missed.
