Rev. Blodgett Rites Monday
Death claimed the Rev. Julian Foster Blodgett, 89, longtime minister in Red Bluff, yesterday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Georgia, the Rev. Blodgett came to Red Bluff, Dec. 13, 1927, serving as pastor of the First Baptist Church until his retirement on Feb. 5, 1939.
He leaves his widow, Kate Burt Blodgett, of Red Bluff; two sons, John M. Blodgett of Sheridan, Wyo., and Paul T. Blodgett of Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. D. J. Christensen, of Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Alice Fittenger of Portland, Mrs. Charles Mulhern of Denver, Colo., and Miss Mary Lois Blodgett of San Francisco; and one brother, Lewis Blodgett of Los Angeles.
Funeral services have been set for Monday afternoon in the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the family plot at Oak Hill Cemetery.
