Adolphus E. Blocker, age 82 years, at one time a resident of Porter county, died Tuesday night at his home in Hammond. He was born in Germany on December 9, 1850 and came with his parents to a farm near Valparaiso in 1854. He is survived by a widow, four sons, four daughters, two brothers and two sisters. A son, Frank Blocker, was an All-American center at Purdue University a number of years ago.(The Vidette Messenger, Valparaiso, Indiana - February 25, 1932)
