James M. Bailey, 86, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Gila Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 28, 1925 in Escanaba, Michigan to Lloyd Horacio Bailey and Katherine Hoppe.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by one daughter, Juanita Spangler and companion Jim Taylor of Silver City; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Bailey and wife Bobbie of Grand Junction, CO; one sister, Eileen LaVeau of Grand Junction, CO; one son-in-law, Tim McCabe of Woodbridge, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Mabel ('10); one daughter, Roberta "Robyn" McCabe.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21st from 11am-12pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the funeral service to commence at 12noon with Minister Floyd Robertson officiating. The interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Kevin and Everett Tester, George Ruiz, Jim Taylor and Dean Bearup.
