Jackie Ruth Bunch Duncan, 69 of the Joyner community, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family during a word of prayer. She faithfully attended Union Baptist Church. She was a loving mom and mamaw.
Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Gertie Bunch; sister, Eddie Neal; and brother, Earl Bunch.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Herman Duncan; sons, Rex Duncan and wife Melanie of Clinton and Chris Duncan and wife Denise of Joyner; daughter, Laura Bunch and husband Allan of Joyner; grandsons, Josh Duncan and wife Jennifer, Todd Tinker, Justin Duncan, Caleb Bunch, Cody Duncan and Lucian Bunch; granddaughter, Ashleigh Tinker; sisters, Louise Longmire, Marie Breedlove, Della Faye Ramsey; sister-in-law, Leeda Duncan; and special nephew, Pat Neal.
The family received friends Tuesday April 14, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service followed at 8 p.m. with Pastor James Foster officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Union Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Jernigan officiating.
