Born in Portland, Maine, son of the late Edwin and Sarah (Harmon) Anderson, he lived in Beverly for the last 39 years.
He was a sales administrator for 38 years at H.P.Hood Co. of Salem where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club; he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beverly.
Surviving him, in addition his wife, are a son, Edward H. Anderson of Beverly; two daughters-in-law, Phyllis and Judith Anderson; five grandcchildren, Michael, Kevin, David, Kurt and Gretchen Anderson of Beverly; one great-grandchild, Brittany Anderson. He was also the father of the late Peter Anderson.
Services at the Campbell Funeral home, Beverly. Burial in No. Beverly Cemetery.
