Mrs. Margaret Rose Murray died about 10:30 o'clock Monday night, following an extended period of ill health. Mrs. Murray, whose parents were Mr. and Mrs. Titus Jones, was born in Tennessee on April 19, 1844, being 89 years, 7 months and 8 days of age at the time of her death. She has resided in Waverly since a small child. Her husband, William Murray, who preceded her in death many years ago, was a Civil War veteran.
The only living relatives are the following nephews and nieces: J. B. Roach, Waverly; J. T. Roach, Jacksonville; Ed Roach, Peoria; Newton Jones, St. Louis, Mo.; Edward and Henry Jones, Franklin; Mrs. Nannie Whitlock, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Ella Hocking, Franklin; Mrs. Emma Henninger, Easton; Mrs. Ada Harris, Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. Pearl Farrell, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon, November 29, at 2 o'clock, the Rev. L. W. Hostetter, pastor of the Baptist church officiating.
Burial will be in Waverly cemetery.
