John J. Metzger, 72, died this morning, at 5:30 o'clock, at his residence, 708 Newton avenue, NW, Canton, after an illness of a year. Mr. Metzger was a former resident of Sippo.
The funeral will be held at the residence Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in West Brookfield Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Melissa Ellen Metzger; a son, J. A. Metzger, of Washington; a grandson, Hugh K. Metzger, of New Philadelphia; two brothers and four sisters.
