Mr. Arthur Monroe, the sixteen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Monroe, died at his home, No. 609 Hull Street, Sunday afternoon after an illness lasting several months. He was very well known and popular throughout the city. The funeral was conducted from Fifth Street Methodist Church yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and interment was made in Maury Cemetery.
