Elizabeth Wilkerson Berg Barry, 66, of Albany died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at her home.

Born January 13, 1947 in St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Barry was the daughter of Evelyn Chandler Berg and the late Dr. Joseph L. Berg. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Disciple Sunday School Class.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Barry was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Barry and her 2 sons, Paul Davis and Hank Davis.

Mrs. Barry grew up in Albany and attended Albany schools and was Miss Albany High School of 1963. She graduated with honors from Georgia State University with a B. A. in English and Journalism and received many academic awards including the Deans Key, Crimson Key Honor Society, and Mortar Board. She was the President of Mu Rho Sigma Sorority.

Over the years Mrs. Barry participated in many groups and associations including the Jr. League of Atlanta, SWGA Society for Human Resource Managers, Department of Labor Employer Committee, Albany Chamber of Commerce serving as Chamber Ambassador, and the Unity Women's Group.

Mrs. Barry worked as a Criminal Justice Planner at North Georgia Area Planning & Development Commission and a Consultant at Administrative Office of the Courts. She served as the Executive Director of Liberty House. Mrs. Barry retired in November 2011 after 25 years with Manpower International. She retired as Branch Manager of the Albany office. Under her direction, the Albany office won the "Circle of Stars" award.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Chandler Berg, a brother, Dr. Chandler Berg (Karen) and a sister, Susan Berg Frenzel (Jim).

A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
