DEATH CLAIMS MRS. MILLER, 68

Mrs. Noah S. Miller, well known Fairfield resident, passed away at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Lutheran hospital at Moline, Ill., where she had been a patient for the past ten days.

Her death follows by less than a month that of her husband who died Dec. 14, 1952, following a lengthy illness. N. S. Miller, a retired auctioneer and farmer, had lived in Jefferson county for 71 years.

Mrs. Miller went to Moline on Dec. 23 to spend Christmas with her daughter. While there she suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. She suffered a second stroke Monday from which she never recovered.

Last rites will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. George Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery north of Fairfield.

Irilla Miller, 68, was born April 16, 1884, at Pleasant Plain, the daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca Paxson Macy. She was united in marriage on June 10, 1900, at Pleasant Plain. Mrs. Miller was a member of the W.R.C., Hawkeye Rebekah lodge, Pythian sisters, Navy Mothers' club and the Antioch Christian church.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Irvin Whitemore, Camdenton, Mo.; Edna Miller, Fairfield; Mrs. Eugene Malmstrom, Moline, Ill.; Gene M. Miller, Ottumwa; N. S. Miller, Jr., Kansas City; Mrs. Donald Fredericks, Alameda, Calif., and Max M. Miller, Medford, Ore.

Eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and the following brothers survive: O.L. Macy, Fairfield; Arthur Macy, Ponca, Neb., and M.C. Macy, Oskaloosa.

Her mother is Mrs. Martha MACY, 87, Eight children: Mrs. Irvin WHITMORE (Mae) of Camdenton, Mo.; Mrs. Eugene MALMSTROM (Esther) of Moline; Mrs. Don FREDERICKS (Evelyn), and Max MILLER of Alameda; Edna MILLER and N. S. MILLER Jr. of Fairfield, and Eugene MILLER of Ottumwa. One son Robert died in infancy. There are also 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
