IUKA – Virginia D. Jones, 88, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 11, 1928, to George B. and Lona Denson. She was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church in Tishomingo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Whitley officiating. Burial will be in the Little Brown Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Tishomingo.
She is survived by one son, Billy W. Jones of the home; and two sisters, Grace (Dizzy) Johnson of Baldwyn and Jane Moore of New Site.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, the Rev. D.W. Jones; her parents; two sisters, Gloria Mae Wigginton and Rowena Clark; and two brothers, Edison and Edward Denson.
