Lucille Cooper, 83, of Riverton, formerly of Waverly, died Friday, Feb. 3, 1995, in her home.
She was born July 4, 1911, in Nortonville, the daughter of Jesse F. and Meda Rae Covey Harney. She married Fairl H. Cooper on June 13, 1931, in Jerseyville. He died in 1964.
She is survived by five sons, Frankie L. of Cantrell, Gail E. of Sherman, Terry of Byron, and Martin and Larry of Riverton; two daughters, Janet Rae Gowin of Dawson and Suziann Fank of Riverton; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired nurse's aid at St. James Sanitarium.
Funeral services were Monday at Neece Funeral Home, with burial at Waverly East Cemetery.
