Alice Helen McCallie Married Hugh Lincoln Routh on Wednesday December 30, 1868 in Huntsville (Madison county) Arkansas. Hugh became a doctor and he and Alice spent most of their lives in Harrison & Batavia Arkansas, They had three children Mary Louella "Lou" Routh & Charles Murrell Routh & George Crump Routh."note" George died when he was two years old. Lou married William Harvey Lewis on Thursday April 11, 1889 in Carroll County., Arkansas, They had nine children. Charles Murrell Routh, like his Dad he also became a Doctor and they shared the office of ROUTH & ROUTH which was located in the Sol Mitchell Building,East side square in Harrison, Arkansas. Charles Married Claudie May Frances on Wednesday March 14, 1894 in Harrison, Arkansas and they had four children, One of which was named Grace Lewis Routh. Now Grace was quite a cowgirl, there wasn't much she couldn't do on horseback, In 1917 she out rode all other contestants and was proclaimed the Queen of the 1917 County Fair (this was taken from the Harrison Times October 16, 1917). Alice Helen was the Daughter of William T. McCallie & Mary Ann Hanks of Calhoun (McMinn County) Tennessee. She had a brother,John Henry McCallie, After the death of William T. McCallie September 02, 1850 her mother married John J. Dixon and beteween John & Mary they had six children, In the spring of 1868 fhe family, Including John Henry And his new wife Martha moved to Carroll County, Arkansas around the town of Carrolton, Sometime in the summer of 1868 Alice met Hugh Lincoln Routh and they were married in December. "Note" D.L. Davidson is the Great Grand Nephew of Alice Helen McCallie Routh.
