In Ward, Allegany Co., N. Y., Feb. 29th, 1864, of congestion of the brain, Mr. Beriah Bliven, in the 80th year of his age. Mr. Bliven was a native of the State of Rhode Island, but some forty years since moved into Allegany County, and located on the farm where he died. He was a man of industrious habits, and by his toils secured for himself and family a good home, with an abundance of the substantial comforts of life. His children are in their settlements somewhat scattered abroad, several living in the neighborhood of their early home, but others in the States of Wisconsin and Illinois.
