An Army Veteran of WW II, he received a Bronze Star. He worked as an electrician for 28 years with McDonnell- Douglas in St Louis.
He was a member of St Cecilia Catholic Church, Meta, where he was a communion minister. He was a senior member of the St Thomas Knights of Columbus Council 2149 and a member of Argyle VFW Post 8947.
Other survivors include: one son, Thomas W Strope, Overland; one daughter, Mary Kay Strope, Kirkwood; two sisters, Agatha Luebbering and Christine Luebbering, both of Jefferson City; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11am Wednesday at St Cecilia Catholic Church. The Rev John Schutty will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in St Cecilia Cemetery.
