She first married Roy M. Tyler in 1918, later married to Delbert J. Hendricks in 1928 and Charles Bates in 1948, divorcing him in 1963. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Martha Jeffers in Litchfield, Illinois and a daughter Clara Muncy and a son Charles Tyler both of Pilot Point; three brothers, Bernard Schroder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Frank and Russell Schroder, both of Springfield, Illinois' 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
