The following announcement was published in the Butler Herald Newspaper dated Thursday, May 16, 1935, page one:

Mr. And Mrs. G. F. Amos
Lose One of Twin Sons

Alton, the 5-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Amos, a twin brother of Malcolm, surviving, died about 10 o'clock Saturday night last following an illness of several days from pneumonia, the child's death eliciting the sympathy of the friends of the family. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the family lot, Howard cemetery, Sunday afternoon, two o'clock, Rev. W. E. Hightower conducting the funeral service.
