STATESBORO - Edmond H. Bowen, 94, died Thursday at Candler County Hospital in Metter after a long illness.
The Bulloch County native lived near Nevils many years and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Union Baptist Church near Statesboro.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. today in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The graveside service and burial for Mr. Bowen will be today at 11 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James R. Coleman officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Rushing, H.C. Rushing, Delmas Rushing Jr., Parker Scott, Thomas Anderson, and Arthur Burnsed.
The body will remain in the chapel of Smith-Tillman Mortuary until the funeral hour.
