Myrtle "Mrs. Max" Everett, age 95 of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at the family home.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church since the early 1950's and very active in various church organizations and the W.M.U.
Preceded in death by her husband, Max; parents, Ralph and Mary Best; brothers, Leonard and Ernest Best.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Everett and friend, Marilyn Willocks and Bill and Kay Everett all of Maryville; grandchildren, Amy Everett and husband Doug, Lynn and Shannon Everett, Eddie and Angie Everett, and Everett and Ashlie Christen; great grandchildren, Max, Will, Anna Kate, Reyla and Spencer Christen; sister-in-law, Edna (Mrs. Ernest) Best; several nieces and nephews.
Our heartfelt thanks to mothers great friends and caretakers, Carmen Bramblett, Ruby Barrillbeaux, Helen Wolfe, Larry Brown, Sarah Begley and Wilma Effler. A very special thank you to the Blount Memorial Hospice nurses.
In accordance with mother's wishes, funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Long and Rev. Ted Davis officiating. The interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Pall Bearers will be Jim Patty, Jim Caldwell, Mike Blevins, Dan Blevins, David Pesterfield and Larry Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or to Pleasant Grove Cemetery Association, 3736 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37804.
