Virginia Beverly Stagg was born to Charles and Ethel (Maddock) Stagg on December 11, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Los Angeles, California.
On February 5, 1950, Virginia married Marvin Dale Weaver in San Diego, California. Shortly after their marriage, Marvin, an enlisted Marine, was called to serve his country during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Weaver died of cancer during his service in Korea.
Virginia, a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was employed with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department for 29 years as a communications operator. Mrs. Weaver retired from the Sheriff's department in 2003.
Virginia is survived by her three daughters: Valerie Addington and her husband Jay of Delta; Kelly Parrish and Shannon Parrish both of Sacramento, CA; and one sister, Edith Mosher of Covina, CA. Virginia is further survived by five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by two children, David Eugene Vaughn in 1976 and Claudia Katherine Weaver in 1992.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, 682 1725 Road in Delta. Visitation will also be available one hour prior to service.
A funeral service honoring Virginia's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Burial will follow at Mesa View Cemetery.
