Thomas Salvatore Bertolino, a long-time Medford resident and former union official, died at his Medford Home, Friday. He was 89.
Mr. Bertolino was born and raised in East Boston, the son of the late Benadicto and the late Helen (Pellizotti) Bertolino. Thomas served in the Navy during World War II. Thomas worked as a tailor in Boston for most of his life. A member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America Union, Thomas served as Secretary and Treasurer of the organization.
He was the beloved husband of Ethel (Crowell). He was a devoted father to Thomas Bertolino and his wife Marie, Stephen Bertolino and his wife Arlyn Hertz, Susan Conners and her husband John all of Medford and Donald Bertolino of San Francisco. He was a loving grandfather to Jodi Conners, Christi Ringland and a loving great-grandfather of Samantha, Amanda and Eric Ringland. He was the dear brother of Leo Bertolino, Dorothy Cirasuolo, the late Anna Hogan, Gina Gorman, Nicholas and Donald Bertolino.
A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St.,Medford, Tuesday, May 8th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
