A letter from my Aunt Ruth gives her name as Irene "Lurena" Turner Chaffin, wife of Joshua Chaffin, born 1814, died 1891. Also gives a brother Thomas Jefferson Chaffin, wife Elevie Mitchell Chaffin.
This information was given to Aunt Ruth by his grand daughter, Nellie (age 82 in 1994), daughter of Elisha Chaffin and Estelle Overstreet. Elisha is a son of Thomas Jefferson Chaffin.
