Faye L. Beatty, 99, of Indian River, died May 3, 1993, at the Extended Care Unit of Community Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan.
A graveside service was held Thursday, May 6, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Indian River. The Rev. Michael Herman officiated.
She was born May 3, 1894, m Athens, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Lilie (Jeffers) Smith. She attended school in Athens and later moved to Marion, Ohio.
On Nov. 20, 1921, she married Samuel R. Beatty in Marion, Ohio, where they made their home. In 1946, the couple moved to Indian River.
Mr. Beatty preceded her in death in October 1963, and Mrs. Beatty continued to make her home in the Indian River area.
Mrs. Beatty was active in the Indian River Senior Citizens Fellowship Club.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Bails of Marion, Ohio, and Robert Beatty of Indian River; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband,
Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by one daughter, two stepsons, two sisters, one brother, and two grandchildren.
