Mrs. Minnie Ernestine Nelson, 80, passed away at her home, 821 Jackson Avenue, at 7:00 o'clock this morning after a lingering illness. Funeral arrangements which are being made at the Preston Funeral Home, will be announced later. Mrs. Nelson was born in North Prussia, Oct, 14, 1864 and is survived by three sons, Frank L. of Alhambra, Calif., Edward A. of Dixon, and Herman G. of Rock Island; a daughter, Mrs. Sumner Wilson of Dixon; two brothers, the Rev. William F. Kohl of Omaha, Nebraska and Herman L. Kohl of Oregon; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her husband, two sons, five sisters, and four brothers preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Dixon for 41 years.
