Death Angel Called; Little Carl Kohl
Little Carl William, the two year old son of Mr. & Mrs. August Kohl, passed away at 8:30 this morning at the public hospital. He was taken ill about a week ago with an abscess in his head and was taken to the hospital where he was operated on, with the hopes of saving his life. On Saturday his sickness turned into meningitis and he passed to the Great Beyond this morning. He was born August 15, 1913 in this city and was a very intelligent child and was loved by all who knew him. The public extend their sympathy to the grief stricken parents in their hour of trouble.

Funeral services over remains of little Carl Kohl, two year old son of Mr. & Mrs. August Kohl will be held at the home of his grandmother, Frances Higgins on W.2nd Street in Rock Falls. Internment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Sterling.
Note: Mother was Marie Margaret Higgins she married August J. Kohl on Aug 7, 1912 at St. Mary's Church in Sterling,Father Burns officiating,they separated and divorced shortly after son's death.
