Son of Alexander Gillespie Noah, Sr. & Rebecca Gunter. He married Margaret Susan "Sudie" Sweatt on April 23, 1889. He was a prominent citizen of Kosciusko, Mississippi. Mayor of Kosciusko, 1894-1911. Founder and Editor of the Herald Newspaper, later the Kosciusko Star Herald. He published the Kosciusko Herald beginning around 1911. It was considered one of the best newspapers in the State of Mississippi. He served as postmaster in Kosciusko from 1913 until his death in 1920 from complications due to diabetes.
