Funeral services for J.M. Charles, 90, of Carnegie, were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 15, at the local First Baptist Church with Rev. Les McNair, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home.
Charles died Wednesday, February 18, 1884, and came to Carnegie from Texas in 1921. He and his wife, Josephine, were married in January, 1902 at Leadhill, Ark. She died December 16, 1974. Charles was a member of the North Carnegie Baptist Church.
