Mrs. Sallie Conlee Brown, a resident of this city, died Monday night, March 31, at 11:00 o'clock, at Passavant hospital, Jacksonville, where she had been taken Friday night.
Mrs. Brown was born southeast of Waverly, January 9, 1886, a daughter of the late Geo. H. and Lottie Hilyard Conlee, and was 66 years of age at the time of her death.
On June 3, 1908, she was married to Henry Brown, who survives her, together with the following children: Orland, Geo. A., and Wilbur, of Waverly, and Mrs. Mary Olive Akers, of Roodhouse. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. John Anderson, of Loami, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. Bronson N. Smith officiating. Burial was in East cemetery.
