She married William T Hales in 1893 and they built the largest single family home in Oklahoma City on Hudson Street in Nichols Hills. It is still called the Hales mansion. Neta as she was known also had a house in the "country" which she called the farm. It was located at NE 63rd and Edmond Rd. but was torn down to make way for more development. W.T. and Neta had a home in Long Beach, CA where they and their extended family spent many summers. W. T. and Oneta divorced in 1935. He began as a horse and mule dealer and then invested in oil and gas. He left an estate of $2 million when he died in September 1938.
