Mrs. Georgie E. Benson, 83, of 7924 Cambridge drive, Prairie Village, died yesterday at a Great Oaks nursing home. She was a member of the Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist. She was a resident of Kansas City 78 years. Since the death of her husband, Frederick A. Benson, in 1931, she had served as a housemother for several fraternity and sorority houses at the Universities of Kansas and Missouri.She leaves a son, F. Ashley Benson of the home; a brother, Mark S. Patton, Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 o'clock Monday at the Freeman chapel; cremation.
