Fowler J. Treat, 85, of Dover, Arkansas, died Monday, March 10, 2003 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville, AR.

The son of Richard and Mattie Alice (Tipton) Treat, he was born April 8, 1917 in Searcy County, AR.

He married Wanaka Lola (Poteet) Treat, on December 28, 1944 at Harrison, Arkansas. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He was a retired Carpenter. He was a member of Dover Masonic Lodge #17 and a member of Dover United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and three nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Wanaka Treat, of Dover; two brothers, Doyle (and Joyce) Treat of Paris, Tracis (and Skeet) Treat of Salisaw; two sisters, Virginia Davidhizar of Dover, Cordelia (and A.J.) Miller of Harrison; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 13, 2003 at the Dover United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Eddy Howell and Charles Hayward. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at St. Paul Cemetery (Gravel Hill Cemetery) at Dover, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Wednesday Evening from 7:00-8:00 at Humphrey's.
